Reflecting on a Meaningful Veterans Day Collaboration with Lamson

This Veterans Day brought something truly special to the Warriors Art Room. Thanks to the generosity of Lamson, the historic cutlery manufacturer in Westfield, Massachusetts, our community received a tremendous show of support. On Tuesday, November 12th, Lamson donated 20% of its profits to the Warriors Art Room, helping us continue our mission of providing veterans and their families with a creative space for healing and connection.
We’re grateful not only for the gift itself, but for the spirit behind it. Partnerships like this remind us how powerful community can be when people come together with a shared purpose. Veterans carry stories, challenges, and strengths that often go unseen. At the Warriors Art Room, we work to create a place where those experiences can be expressed through art—where creativity becomes a path toward connection, understanding, and recovery.
These relationships matter. As a small, volunteer-run nonprofit, every donation directly supports the programs veterans rely on: open studio hours, supplies, workshops, and gallery opportunities that give them a platform to share their work and their voice. When businesses like Lamson step forward, it helps ensure that these resources remain free and accessible to the military community we serve.
The impact of Lamson’s support extends far beyond a single day. It strengthens the foundation of care we’re building, one that depends on collaboration, compassion, and community involvement. We deeply appreciate Ashley Yacoub, Shane O’Brien, and the entire Lamson team for choosing to stand with us and with the veterans who walk through our doors.
Veterans deserve spaces where they feel seen, supported, and valued. With the help of partners like Lamson, we can continue to offer that space—one brushstroke, one workshop, one conversation at a time.
