About the Artist
Donald Longley is a veteran metal artist with more than 20 years of experience transforming reclaimed steel and salvaged materials into large-scale outdoor sculptures. Working primarily with reclaimed steel and salvaged materials, he creates site-specific pieces that blend craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep respect for nature. Based in Belchertown, Massachusetts, Longley has permanent installations across Massachusetts and Connecticut in town commons, cultural centers, and public parks. Through his studio, Hercworx, he continues to design and fabricate sculptures that connect people to place while also supporting community initiatives, including the Warriors Art Room, a nonprofit serving veterans and their families through art.
